Our Rescues That Have Pending Or Recent Adoptions

Kimber is a 1 yr. old, Silky Terrier rescued from a kill shelter. This beauty weighs approximately 14 lbs. and has an agreeable, pleasant disposition. She gets along very well with everyone, other dogs and is a complete joy to be around. Kimber will be spayed and completely vetted this week and then will become available for adoption. Kimber's adoption fee is 300.00 and she is being fostered in Riceville, TN.

Kiara is a 2 yr. old, 6 lb. Yorkie. She is super sweet, friendly and very outgoing. She loves to snugglle and is a major lap baby. She is an adorable little girl, however due to her coat being so matted when rescued, she had to be shaved down. You can still see how cute she is though. Once her coat grows out............... can you say..............simply stunning? Darling Kiara has been spayed, brought UTD on all routine shots including Bord., tested for heart worms and internal parasites(neg) and groomed. Kiara is being fostered in AL and her adoption fee is 375.00 Update 1/8 from Kiara's foster mom Michelle:Kiara is SUPER sweet! She loves giving kisses and she craves attention! She is full of spirit, spunk, energy and she LOVES playing with her toys. It's so precious to see her playing and coming out of her shell. She gets along great with dogs, cats and all people. She LOVES to be held and petted! She is sweetness all the way through! Update 1/29:Kiara is super sweet, gets along with her doggie siblings, cats and loves everyone! She is looking for her forever home that will cherish and treat her like the princess she is! She even trots like a show dog and holds her head up high saying "look at me"! Loves the outdoors and exploring but also loves being inside watching tv, snuggling and playing with her toys. Loves giving kisses, is still somewhat shy and submissive. Almost fully potty trained and is still working on leash training (she rather be carried). No aggression whatsoever!

Colby was saved from the Memphis animal shelter. He was in the back room ready to be killed when rescued. He is being boarded at our MS vet until Saturday(1/28) as he has an upper respiratory infection and is being treated. He also needs to get vetted and get a dental etc.He is 4-5 lbs., house trained, gives kisses, loves sleeping with you and is mad cute!!!!!!!!!!! The picture posted is when he was rescued from the shelter. Update 1/26:Below you will see a short video of Colby taken at the vet's office today. There is also another one on our index page of him with Joby, our blind Yorkie rescue. Colby is a tiny little boy, incredibly social and outgoing. He is a relatively young boy and appears healthy according to our vet in MS. He has recovered from his URI and is getting fully vetted. He is well behaved, happy, beautiful and ultra sweet. What more could anyone want? He is leaving the vet Saturday and will be fostered, most likely in the East TN area. We will have pictures the weekend of 1/28. Spike is a 1 yr. old, 8 lb. tri-color Chihuahua rescued from a kill shelter. He is seriously sweet and personable. He loves other dogs and has absolutely no bad habits. Just an adorable little love that wants to be your best buddy and hang with you. Spike is healthy, neutered, brought UTD on all shots including Bord., and fecal and heart worm neg. Spike's adoption fee is 175.00 and he is being fostered near Athens, TN.

Mailei is an approximately 3 yr. old, absolutely adorable Shih Tzu rescued from a kill shelter. She is exceptionally sweet, well behaved and well adjusted. She gets along well with everyone and other dogs. She does pretty well on the leash and is good for grooming. Her adoption fee is 275.00 and she is being fostered in Riceville, TN. Update 1/11....lots of info from Mailei's foster mom: 1. When we have the furbabies spayed, we go ahead & have a complete vetting done, which includes: Rabies vacination, DHLPP (which is a combination shot for distemper, hepatitis, lepto, parvo, parainfluinza), bordatella vacination (kennel cough), heartworm testing, fecal test and professional dental. 2. As mentioned in her information she was rescued from a kill shelter. Therefore, we cannot give an exact age or birth date. However, judging by her teeth,etc., she appears to be around 3 years of age. 3. She has a sweetheart of a personality. 4. Is leash trained. 5. Is crate trained. 6. Loves dog toys. 7. Loves cuddle time. 8. Potty training: When taken outside to potty, she will go. However, since I have more than one dog at my home, all of the furbabies wear panties (girls) or belly bands (boys). Of course, if the person is not diligent, accidents will happen. Always take a dog outside to potty when they first wake up in the morning, after meals, & the last thing before going to bed at night. 9. She is a laid back & relaxed dog, but she does get excited when playing with her toys. She is not hyper. 10. She is not a barker. Of course, she can bark, but she does not bark at every sound. 11. When rescued, she was terribly matted & her hair had to be shaved down. Her hair has started to grow out a bit, but is still short. It will be up to the new family if they want her body shaved again or would like to let it grow longer. She has/will be groomed, hair shaved again or left longer, ears cleaned, toenails trimmed, & bathed regularly while in our care, and right before adoption.

Trevor is an approximately 7-8 month old(vet estimate) black/white Boxer (according to vet). He was picked up by one of our fosters wandering along the highway in a rural, desolate area. He was immediately taken to the vet the next morning to be checked out and vetted. No apparent health issues were detected. He appears to have previously had a fracture of his right upper leg or shoulder at some point because there was a calcified area noted. He has suffered no ill effects from it and gets around fine with no difficulty or limping. He has been brought UTD on shots and neutered. He is 25-30 pounds. He had skin problems when rescued but after a skin scraping it was determined that he did not have any type of mange or scabies. Most likely it was just from a flea infestation in which a skin infection developed from the scratching. He's had medicated baths and a shot for the itching. He is still at the vet clinic but will be ready to go to his foster home with Janet soon and we will have more pictures. We have posted a video below of him in the car enjoying himself and playing. That is so precious!! He has a super disposition and is very calm and laid back, yet playful. He is being fostered in Corinth, MS. Update 10/27: Trevor is doing really well. We have posted an updated photo above. He loves playing and is enjoying his "puppyhood" now :) His skin condition is completely healed now and his coat is becoming so healthy and is very shiny. He limps slightly on the back hip where has a calcified section from a previous injury that healed, but it causes him no pain and he can run extremely fast and actively play with no issues whatsover. He is one sweet baby and is so much fun! Update 12/13: Trevor continues to thrive in rescue. His skin condition is completely cleared up and his coat is soft and shiny. He is very happy, playful and so incredibly sweet and social. He absolutely adores playing with oher dogs and hanging on the couch with you. Trevor is ready and patiently waiting for his new home. He is being fostered in Corinth, MS and we have posted a new video of him playing with one of his foster brothers.

Kaioki is an adorable 10-12 month old Chinese Crested/Poodle mix. He is pearly white with black tipped ears and is an extremely adorable little boy! He weighs approximately 9 lbs and is healthy. He has an extremely pleasing disposition, is playful, happy, well adjusted and social. He gets along very well with people and animals alike. He is active and enjoys various activities but can be equally happy snuggling on the couch with you and just "hanging". This little baby has everything anyone could ever want and he is all wrapped up in cuteness too! Kaioki has been neutered, heart worm tested(N), brought up to date on shots including Bordetella, wormed, groomed and started on preventatives. His adoption fee is 200.00 and he is being fostered in Riceville, TN.

Tyler is a, 1 yr. old, 9 lb.,Yorkshire Terrier rescued from a kill shelter. He had a very bad systemic yeast infection onhis body with quite a bit of hair loss. As you can see it is completely cleared up now, his coat looks wonderful and he is so incredibly handsome :) Ty is leash and crate trained and has a very agreeable and personable disposition. However sweet, and is he ever!, darling Tyler is with his human friends, he thinks he is the toughest dog in the household as a general rule. This can be problematic especially with larger dogs. He does get along fairly well with small dogs however he can be somewhat protective over his food. We would recommend that Tyler be the only dog in the household or with another small female. Tyler is neutered, been treated for his skin condition(simply due to flea infestation and very neglectful care prior to being rescued), received all shots including Bord., and tested negative for heart worms and internal parasites. Tyler's adoption fee is 300.00. He is being fostered in Riceville, TN.
